Celebrate Cedar City’s Roots at the Livestock & Heritage Festival This Weekend

Have you ever watched a thousand sheep parade down Main Street in the heart of Cedar City?

This weekend, you can! The Cedar Livestock & Heritage Festival is back October 24–26, and it’s a vibrant reminder of what makes our community truly special: deep roots, proud traditions, and neighbors who show up to celebrate them.

What Makes This Festival So Unique?

Every fall, Cedar City honors its agricultural heritage with a one-of-a-kind gathering that combines history, entertainment, and local pride. From the beloved sheep parade to cowboy poetry, this event is more than a festival—it’s a full-on cultural experience.

You won’t find many places where the livestock literally come to town. It’s just one reason why so many locals (and visitors!) look forward to this weekend every year.
